First Street Photography workshop under my belt and I actually got the train to Bristol, sitting there with my beard and man bag… It was Hipster Central baby. I nearly even had an episode of self importance!

I’m not going to mention the cat milk Double latte or the Stilton and Broccoli roll with pomegranate seed salad…

These images are going to follow the timeline. It was Pishing down so the remit was reflections, umbrellas, keeping the camera dry (I bought tea towel, see Hipster!) and people… I think I got it covered.

Thanks Graham, and I’m sure it’s not going to be my last.

Oh, and for the record, the Stilton and Broccoli roll with pomegranate salad was absolutely delicious and I’m never milking a cat again!

Manual 365/179 Lord Baths’ Mystical Eye!

DSC_4244-EditComplete with standing stones as Longleat gears up to hold the Glastonbury Festival in a couple of years time. I’ve *heard a rumour (*made it up) that there’s going to be a warm up Stargate convention in 2017 and the Lions, Tigers and Bears (Ah Ha!) ((I know there are no bears at Longleat but it sounds better than wolves..)) Are receiving Hippy / Hipster acclimatisation acupuncture therapy for the inevitable lost / stoned / drunk festival goer who’s bound to stagger into their enclosures. (I made that up too and I’m sure the security around the animals will be second to none… Apart from the hippos, those hard Mofo’s can look after themselves and it’ll make great tele… Ok, I’m making that up too but hey, 20 minutes ago I was sat here with Bloggers Block and now I’m on a roll!)

On a techy note, got the shot using a tight aperture (f/26 @ 18mm to f/38 @ 105mm) 1/3 sec exposure and zoomed in when the shutter was open. I would like to invest in a Neutral Density filter, a good one so it will be an investment so that I don’t have to have everything so tight to get long exposure shots during the day but that’ll be something to aim for in the future.

And the view from Heavens gate was a bit good too!DSC_4266

Manual 365/142 The Best Beard In The World… Period!

Winter rainy days are so full of gloom, a vaccum sky; sucking at the drab, dead earth.

Spring rainy days on the other hand promise so much more. OK, the light’s shite and no matter where you go it’s not going to relent and offer up any good shots. So maybe look a little closer to home (like just outside the front door…)

Bud!DSC_0057-EditI have managed to scout some good locations for the future though and also spent a bit of time editing:

The Best Beard In The World… Period!DSC_6903-Edit-Edit.jpgA completely random guy walking past us when we were sat outside a bar in Portugal back in February, I thought his shots had been deleted but while I was rummaging about in me archives I rediscovered him. He’s a British guy and the beard is 100% natural!

Off out for a walk in the morning, My Daughter now knows what the Golden Hour means so we’ll be leaving home around 6ish (we’ll see!)

Peace Peeps! x
