Days like today make me glad that I’ve learnt what I’ve learnt over the last 18 months. And I didn’t get wet once… ;o)
A finicky god, converting (Hydrogen into Helium) 24 hours a day but constant, in solar terms. It demands no worship and will not hold anything against you. I like Ra, or Helios or Sol or whatever the hell you want to call it, it’s made me who I am today! ;o)
I’m getting lazy!
Problem is, when you’ve got so many wonderful locations just a couple of minutes away, lazy is tooo easy!
Well, I’m going to snap out of it! There’s a new month approaching fast and another birthday just over the horizon which will involve a nifty 50 (the lens, not my age, though I’m getting closer!!!) and me trying to develop my photography further. I love landscapes but, and I’ll whisper this, Landscapes are easy! Shhh!
I want to start telling stories and the best way to do that is to become involved and there’s no easier way to become involved than fitting a prime lens and zooming with your feet.
Fun times ahead! ;o)
Unless you’re at 36,000 ft and then, feel free to leave as many vapour trails as you want!Happy landings Peeps! x
Do me a favour? In about a weeks time when the low-pressure returns to dull the skies and the first storm has stripped the leafs from the trees just remind me how lucky we have been this autumn. Taken just outside Trowbridge on my commute home.
Peace Peeps! XX
What are you doing to me? I’m clambering over fences, getting funny looks from people who’d rather watch me than look to the sky…
Or in a field, led on my belly among the stubble, amazed at the tiny flower that’s been waiting for the towering mono-crop to be reaped before stealing the show! And that’s just on Monday!
Peace Peeps! xxx
“More Seascapes!!!” I hear you cry! Fraid so Peeps, been a lazy, lazy day looking through some of my shots from the last week and having a pano fest! I loved the colour from yesterday morning but my other love is moody skies in black and white, so… I’m indulging myself one last time before I go back to work. I hope you don’t mind!
I have put, what I consider my best shots from Aber Porth into an album on 500px, take a look and you can see a lot of my other work on this site too. Go look, see! ;o)
Peace peeps! xxx
P.S. Graham is still set to complete his JOGLE tomorrow,an amazing feat! There’s still plenty of time to donate.
A couple of weeks ago I blogged that a work colleague and friend was completing a John O Groats to Lands End cycle ride for Diabetes UK. He started a week ago and is currently 700 miles in and I’ve neglected to mention it earlier… Bad Blogger!
So, tonights extra blog is dedicated to Graham Sheppard, only two days to go Fella and I know you like the sunsets / sunrises so here’s another from this morning.
The original blog is here
So, Shep, if you’re reading this, you’ve broken its back, only a couple of nice easy days (I’m kidding) to go!
Peace Peeps! x
Shoot RAW peeps! I have added nothing but a few brush stokes of exposure and contrast with a graduated blue filter on the sky. Make the world wonderful, because it is!
Peace Peeps! x
I’ve gone back through todays’ shots and remembered I tried one of my favourites with a twist, my normal 2x2x2x1x1x1 panorama turned into 3×3 stacked. Lightroom wouldn’t merge them in Perspective so had to go cylindrical first and then edit to panorama in Photoshop and I’ve now discovered Boundry Wrap! Great tool! And a note to self, when you’re using the tripod remember to turn Stabilisation back on when you grab the camera (The reason there’s not that much detail in the castle etc.)
But, anyway, tonight’s bonus
