I don’t know what it is with 18th and 19th Century nobility and the need to build thrusting, erect follies all over the place and always on the top of bloody great big hills…This did make me puff some but it’s a tick off the old list! And check out that November sky! Long may it continue!
This is the Lansdowne Monument near Cherhill, Wiltshire, built by someone long dead in memory of someone who’s been dead longer.
